i'm on my 2nd tank now where i've had a problem with hornwort shedding. starting at one end it starts losing its 'needles' and i end up with dead ones floating everywhere. this is bothersome as hornwort is supposed to be the easiest stuff around. interestingly, my java moss thrives. i keep decent but not great light on for 8-9 hours a day. what am i doing wrong? is there a better, easier low light floater?

watersprite is probably one of the easiest floaters i bought a few small pieces for like 5 bucks put them in my 20 long and now i have enough to almost completly cover the surface of my 20 long my 55 and my 30 gallon tanks. The only problem you will have is finding somewhere to put it all.

pic?

attach plants to things. my pet shop is selling drift wood with 3 plants attached for 80 buks so i made my own. it would be worth 1000 to them lol

I have been having similar issues with my hornwort. I have had bunches of the stuff on 2 different occasions, both times they appeared good and healthy but after 2 weeks or so the samething happened...:irked: the needles fell off and started funking my tank water params up so i ended getting rid of the stuff as it semt that everytime a fish swam by more and more fell off. during my trial and error i tried almost everything to save the plants, from lowering & raising the temp of the tank and even upped ferts (which caused a BBA bloom that im still trying to get rid of) just prior to getting the plants.
Anyone got any suggestions?
