Hi so I am setting up a 40 gallon rio atabapo biotope and I am getting 6 spot tail hatchetfish. I read that they should have floating plants so I did some research and I found that I could either go with red root floater or Amazon frogbit. There isnt going to be much flow 5 turnovers an hour using a spray bar. The tank is acrylic so there is a lip on to and I would like to fill right near the lip. Which one of these plants would do better or should I just not get any floating plants. The lighting is 2 10w floodlights.

I personally don't like to keep the tops wet on most top plants.
Are you ok with a home made screen top?
I'm not planning on trying to keep it wet I just think condensation will build up. The tank is a semi closed top acrylic tank and I'm getting custom glass covers for the open parts so I can't run screen.
