Floating Plants

Some of the best tanks I've seen here have a mat of floating plants on the surface. I did a search and couldn't come up with anything.

Can you guys recommend a type of floating plant that is hardy enough to take a lot of surface agitation. What do you guys have for floating plants in your cichla tanks?

frogbit or duckweed multiplies like crazy.

I think hornwort's (spelling) a good floating plant.

if you want plastic, use fancy plants giants

Thanks guys. Any idea of real plants will lead to algae blooms in the tank?
