Hey guys, I'm new to the world of plants, and I find them very intriuging. However, my Oscars do not seem to take a liking to them lol. I was just wondering if there were any low light floating plants that I could use to cover about half my tank, as my O's don't really like the light, but the tank does not look very good when it is dark. I have a 90 gallon aquarium, with only 2 48" t8 bulbs.

I love duckweed. My midas munches on it as well.

Riccia fluitans, Pistia sp., and Lemnoideae sp. are all easily acquired and are easy growing floating plants.

I use a type of plant that looks like duckweed only larger and doesnt seem to reproduce as prolifically... I dont know the english name for it but will take a pic of it tonight after work so someone maybe able to ID it for you?

Limnobium laevigatum, Frogbit??

To my knowledge Java moss is not a floating plant..duckweed is hard to get out of your tank...my o ate frogbite..but they don't touch water sprite and it grows quickly
