I have a 75g in my room that I have on hold...I promised myself no more spending on fish until I get a job which would be next summer...BUT I do have 50 pot scrubbies and an unused powerhead at home. Aside from the lack of aesthetic appeal, would this be a good way to filter the water? I also have a penguin 330 on the tank for additional water movement at the surface where the pot scrubbies are. It seems most people use pot scrubbies for sumps or trickle filters where there's a lot more oxygen, but there are also people who keep them submerged in canisters. Sooo....is this worth trying, or am I just wasting my time?

I would put a big sponge filter in there with the powerhead... Hydro V would cost you about $10-15 new... You can find them used for like $5.

I've never thought of that lol
is there a possibility that the filter tube and powerhead intake won't match?
