i know the ol will my floor hold lol... I was wondering I am debating on getting a tank for my bedroom on the second floor! It’s going to be between 55 to 75 gallons nothing crazy big... my father said the room has Floor joists every 16 inches! Was wondering will the floor hold up? The part of the house where the tank will go is about 30 to 40 years old..

Before I’d be worrying if the floor will hold and would be looking at something else. Where is the nearest water source? The harder water changes are the less you will want to do them.
I don’t know what your house is like, but my two story doesn’t have water upstairs. That’s a deal breaker right there. Lol

Hello thank you for the reply! The room is right next to a bathroom! So no worries there lol

Apts that allow fish tanks stop in the 55gal range normally. It's about the same weight as a filled bathtub. Just make sure you go across the joist not along them.
