I SAW SOME FLORDA GAR AT MY LFS THERE AROUND 6 TO 7 INCH. THE OWNER ASKING FOR 45 FOR THEM IS THAT A GOOD PRICE.

they are one of the housable gars since they usually get to 20 inches plus.

$45 U.S.? No. I paid $25 for mine (6"). Of course, i do live close to FL; so, that may have some bearing on the price.

Considering they're illegal in CA, if you really want one I'd be willing to fork over the $45. Not advocating buying illegal fish, but just saying...

Florida is much easier to keep than the Longnose and the Florida stays at a much more manageable size.. Either way they are illegal to keep in CA.
