So im currently looking at a Florida spotted gar to add to my family. he is 13 inches long and would be housed in a 75G 48x 18x 20
In the tank is a 8 inch silver
a 5 inch Tarpon 4 inch Male GT and 4 inch Fire mouth.

I have another 55 with low stock to move some fish into if need be.

Will he eat my other fish if so who?
Will be he fine
filtration is great not that thats relevant but just as a side note.

You would get about two months before the gar outgrew the 75. They aren't as flexible as your other fish and can't tolerate a cramped tank. One spook and you'll have a broken back gar.

I would not recommend a Florida that size until you have an upgrade at your home.

yeah, the 55g is already too small, hes gotta be able to turn around :)
I ment that the 55 is available to move fish already in the 75 to the 55 not the gar itself

Cicihlids are also not wise to house w/ them unless you have alot of space. which a 75 wouldn't be. my 11.5" florida is starting to have issues moving in his 40B same depth as your 75. pretty much all of your fish would be potential snacks or aggressive to the gar. my guy takes down 3" feeders w/out much fuss. 13" gar w/ 4" fish is tempting fate. and 8" silver (?)

Yeah, it seems like a bad idea to me. Your already packing a lot of fish into that tank. Plus, at 13" I know I'd worry about my other fish.
