So what crayfish are from florida? I got one in with a group of ghost shrimp and I am assunming they are from florida since I also got a florida flagfish and a bunch of Luncinia goodia too.

Florida has its own species of freshwater crawfish but it looks nearly identical to the Louisiana crawfish. I only know this because there are restrictions on them because of the fear that they will out compete with the florida species. I don't know what the difference between the two is.

Pretty sure I figured it out already Dwarf Crayfish Cambarellus shufeldtii. Thanks though. I will try to get a picture to verify.

procambarus clarkii is the red swamp cray. I beleive that it is native to FL or at least is living there.

theres also the blue crays. (I forget the scientific name)

I think we have two species here that are supposed to be here and a couple invasive. Not sure of which is the most common as we have only caught two in the almost 30 years I've lived here.
