I was doing big water change out my rosy red "breeding pond" tonight and took pics of a dollar sun that lives there.

Got him tiny size of guppy he is now 3 inches few months later and showing great color.

Rosy reds havent bred at all meanwhile the ghost srimp have lol go figure. The dollar doesnt seem to bother the rosy reds as all are alive .

Nice little Dollar, have a few myself :)

Have you ever bred yours? If so can a pair be housed together all yr long?

The "pond" is 40 inches round . I would like to breed them if possible and one wont kill the other.

Granted would need to get a female

Generally with Lepomis it's best to have two or three females per male; otherwise the male will pester the lone female to death.

Thank you did not know that. I am assuming this is a male due to the color ?
