Florida gar and airstones

Can't find it but I thought I read some where gar don't like air stones? Is this true and if so why don't they just curious is all

I've never heard that, my Florida gar doesn't have a problem with them at all. In fact, he was really lethargic until I bought higher quality ones. I don't think he's ever paid any attention to them.
