Florida Gar boom

Ok so there has been like a mass amount of flarida gars for sale around me latly. There was none about two weeks ago and now there's like 6 and they are all 18"+ what's going on here lol. one day you don't see them then the next every fish store you go into has a couple in the big tanks

it seems to be real common nowadays since florida is keeping these types of species in their backyard...caught a handful of red terrors (UROS) along with florida gars, pbass...its just more easier to get them now

The thing about these gar were there size I know for this particular fish 18"+ isn't that big but why are all the ones I have been seeing that size.
