I live in South Florida, about an hour or two away from the Everglades. Do you think I can keep a FL gar in my pond? It gets pretty cold down here, cold average was a 45 degrees Fahrenheit. I know FL gars live in the Everglades, I just want to be reassured.

not very sure on gars, but i live in central florida and depending on how big the pond is , i would think it could. I catch them all year round so if they are surviveing in the water naturally, then they proble can survive in your pond. But again im not sure on it. im just stating from what i have seen around my area.

Alright, well I have no clue on to how to catch them where I live but if you live in Central Florida then I think there's a high percentage on them living in my pond! Thanks!
