florida gar not eating?

I got a 12 inch florida gar from a friend who fed him tilapia, shrimp, and hikari sticks...Ive had him for about 5 days now and he still has not eaten. Ive tried earthworms, beefheart, shrimp, and massivore but he still wont eat..Ive even dropped the worm over his mouth and he does nothing...should I be worried yet or will he come around? Hes in with 2 oscars and 2 bichirs that dont bother him at all

Does he seem stressed? He might need somemore time to settle in. Good luck

I wouldn't worry to much just yet, it can take a while for them to adjust to your tank and have you tried to feed it the other foods your friend was feeding it. If it's not thin then I would just wait a few more days.

hi thanks...yeah i tried shrimp and tilapia no go...he doesnt really seem stressed my oscars could care less about him and the bichirs are harmless. Im seeing other posts with the same problem so ill give him more time and keep trying
