It's been almost a year since I bought my Florida Gar for my 300 gallon. I purchased him as an Alligator Gar, then thought he was a Spotted, but after further research I'm positive he's a Florida. When I bought him, I also bought a Silver Arowana, which was about the same size as him. A few weeks after, I bought a baby Peacock Bass and four Blood Parrots. I had a Redtail Catfish, but I gave him to my cousin who has an indoor pond big enough for that monster. Recently, I put a Pleco in the tank as well. The aro has grown quite a bit, probably nearly doubled in size. Same with the Peacock Bass. The parrot fish have thickened out since I got them... but the Gar has barely grown at all. How fast are they supposed to grow?
