Florida Gar Question?

Hello gar experts,

I just had a quick question: Is it normal that my Florida gar stays on the bottom of my tank and if not, why does it do so?

Cause I know normally gars stay at the top (as my previous gars have done so), but this one I've had for about a month or 2 and he is always sitting on the bottom. He eats and swims fine also.

They are all over the place and it is not unusual or even cause for concern for them to relax on the bottom.

If you browse enough pics of gars (I've seen a ton while reading up on these before I got some) you're bound to see plenty of shots where the gars are just hanging out on the substrate of a tank.

I've even seen shots where the gars are lounging with bichirs.

mine does the same thing will just sit on the bottom of the tank and just look at me.

pretty normal! mine does the same

they can be found at the top hiding in the plants or at the bottom relaxing on the substrate
so its not a problem
