Hello!
I currently have a 7" Florida gar I've been growing out for the past few months, he currently only has a similar sized bowfin as a tank mate but I've been trying to find a few more gar to give him some company. I went to my local LFS yesterday and they actually had a few in stock, I told the store to hold them for me so I'll probably pick them up later this week. The only potential issue I see is the fact that these fish are 10-11" long. So, do you guys think there would be an issue if I were to add the bigger gar in with my smaller one? I obviously don't want my little guy to end up as lunch. I can keep them separate for a while but I'm currently trying to reduce the number of tanks I have, so the sooner they could go in the same tank the better.

I'm going to say it's fine, 3 inches shouldn't make for a snack sized fish for them.

Also what size tank are all these guys going in out of curiosity?
