I have a 13 inch spotted Florida gar. Could I keep him with a African butterfly fish, anglefish, silver dollars and a knife fish or will he be too aggressive

The Silver Dollar's would be ok with the Florida Gar. Wouldn't trust the gar withe the other fish listed.
