Florida gar was sick; now won't eat.

Captive, donated pet gar became ill with whitish scrapes, red marks. Removed treated with Melafix, put back in 800g tank; skin looks great. He ate everyday before illness, now he has only eaten maybe a dozen pieces of smelt/silverside in 3 months. His eyes seem cloudier now.
I attached file of when he was sick. Recently tested tank pH high, started Ph reducer. Tried attaching food to dangle in front of him, he even spits food out. Lethargic!

did he eat more when you were treating him in the smaller tank, or when he was re-introduced into the 800g?

how long did you treat him for, and how big was the tank you treated him in?

I had to put him in a kid's swimming pool for 7 days and he did not eat in there. And he hasn't eaten since putting him back in the 800g. He has no lesions, no cloudy eyes, no more scrapes or white on his body. I treated entire 800g with Quick cure for scaleless b/c I have catfish in there too and assumed parasites were in that tank.
He still is not eating when I feed tank, but I don't know how he would still be alive? It's been like 6 months? Sorry took me so long i forgot where I signed up.

did you try a few feeders maybe to spark his interest i had a gar who would eat anything but would throw it up if it wasnt feeders or if he ate to much and did you figure out what the marks were has his behavior changed and is he active
