Hey folks...I recently purchased my first Florida Gar..I am stoked!! I put some feeders in the tank for him and his mates and no one took them them for an hour so I went to bed...woke up this morning and 6 were gone. Assuming the gar had a few for dinner.
I have searched with no luck....what is the best way to wean a Gar onto pellet/frozen food? If so what is the best pellet you recommend? I know if you are feeding live they do not need to eat everyday (he is about 11") and have also read that you should not feed them for 3-4 days and then introduce them to pellets. What is you expert opinion?
