I have a 125 Gallon that in the future I plan on upgrading when I move out. I love my florida gar that is like 10 inches right now. Very peaceful have never seen him do anything malicious to any other fish.
I currently have:
1 Ornate Bichir 6"
1 Polli Bichir 6"
1 Lapradei Bichir 8"
1 Endlicheri Bichir 12"
I plan to have a lot of PVC pipes for hiding places, and do not think I will add any other bottom dwellers to the tank.
My worry is: will my fire eels and gar compete over food at tge top to the point that the gar will accidently bite the fire eel? this would be devistating because the florida gar snaps at anything that drops into the water. I guess I would have to make a special effort to make sure that this does not happen and feed carefully?
