Florida Gar won’t eat

i bought a 4” Florida Gar nearly 5 weeks ago ant it shows no interest in food

Tried frozen bloodworms, whitebait, prawn, tilapia and floating foodsticks

I tied different frozen food with thread and let it dangle in the tank but it’s showing no interest

I’ve kept them this size in the past and had no difficulty

I’m not giving it feeders-I’m English and have never/won’t do this. I guess it’s the way I’ve been brought up keeping fish. I have tried worms and had not luck with these too

Has anyone else had a juvie go this long before?

It's not unheard of for juvies to die because when little they often only go for live, they can be switched later with relative ease

Very true-I lost it at the weekend I'm sorry to say
Showed no interest in anything I offered. Kept small Gar in the past and never k own this to happen. Went 6 weeks with no food

IF I get another one I'm going to ask the store to show me it feeding otherwise its a no-no for me
