Florida snail plague

A Florida community has been ordered to quarantine after an invasive species of African land snail has been spotted.Authorities say the destructive mollusk was spotted in areas of Broward county in early June.

What exactly does that mean? Is everyone quarantined in their homes, unable to go outside for fear of being attacked by dangerous carnivorous snails? No entering or leaving the town without having the military check and clear each vehicle, to prevent a snail from high-jacking a car and forcing the owner to drive it elsewhere? Or do the snails actually steal cars and try to drive themselves out?

Is there a vaccine available? This is definitely a situation that calls for more restrictive limits and controls on...something or other...

"You can't go anywhere because we found snails in your yard!" That sounds so ridiculous that...well, I mean, it sounds like something the Canadian government would try!

"I'm from the government; I'm here to help..."

LOL,I was wondering that as well,they make it sound as if the snails are like Alien xenomorphs or something equally pernicious!

.....and oddly enough,years ago I wanted one of those huge land snails as a pet,perhaps a road trip is in order!

Judging by the picture, I would say those snails are particularly dangerous, and the authorities have good reason for containment.

Hahaha yeah they can’t be trusted in just two hands. We need to have a third in case they escape at snail speed, which we all know is lightening fast!
