How long can i keep a 8-10" Fl/Sp Gar in a 100g, (5ftx20"x20")?

Yes and how many " per month if well fed?

In my experience, you should notice annother inch per month until it reaches ~16". I did have a Florida that slowed around 14" and didn't seem to have such a steady growth rate so it really depends on the fish. With the dimenions mentioned, He should be alright in there for a while. An upgrade is always advised of course, go atleast 24" wide and another foot long at the minimum, but what you have isnt that bad for a while still.

And how long is a "little while"? 3-5 months or 1 - 1 1/2 year?

really, it depends on the fish. Like I said, I had one that slowed down around 14" so he would last longer in your tank then the ones that don't slow down until 16". In Another 6-8 months he should start slowing down in growth until you won't even notice him growing. If he gets to 16", I'd say its time to upgrade, if not, you'd have a good year or longer until you really need to think about it.

I'd say 6 months to 1 year on the safe side...after that I would upgrade as soon as possible.

I think i will get it, they are really pricey, 123$ each..
One of the first ones in Iceland though.
