how do you know the different between these three, they all look the same to me.

Florida and spotted like identical.... Gators look nothing like them at all..
Pics of all seven species and then some can be seen here: http://www.primitivefish.com/

last question, i google on alligator gar. some of gator looked kind of yellow, and some have gray color.

hell, you're asking the worst questions i've seen. haha in fact, all gars have two rows of teeth, however this is only prominant in the alligator gar and slightly less so in other Atracotsteus gars.

all gars(even within the same species) are very variable in pattern and colour, depending on age, size and enviromental factors.

all Atractosteus have two prominent rows, they may appear more prominent in gators because gators are bigger and therefore have bigger teeth, but in general proportions i would say all 3 species have prominent double rows of teeth.

but that is a far cry in advancement from the questions being asked here. i would guess (moreover HOPE) there are all questions asked prior to getting a gar...because if you bought a gar before knowing the answers to these questions it's a very unwise decision (and that is an understatement). --

whoops, wrong choice of words there...not the worst questions...ahhh i don't know how to put it. but a far cry in advancement? how is "do all gars have teeth" a far advancement?

however asides from that, yes, solomon made the right point, and that is if you're asking the qns before or after buying the gar..

i think you misinterpreted what i said, although i was responding to two things at once, so i can see how that's possible.

i was responding to you with the comment on the gars and two rows of teeth...Atractosteus all have two prominent rows.

my comment on advancement of questions was regarding the two-rows of teeth topic...that topic is far more advanced than the questions being asked by the original poster (in terms of within genus variation, or lack thereof), who is making it relatively clear they don't know basic info on gars (yet).

hopefully that clarifies things :) --
