I have an AGA 48" light hood on my 75g,The light keeps blinking unless i loosen the starter while its blinking then it comes right on.I bought a new starter 2 pack and tried them both same thing I tried a different bulb same thing.Any ideas on a fix?

replace the ballast.

You can get one at Lowes for a bunch less money that at a pet shop.

Or just replace it with a new self starting bulb assembly and forget the headaches
