Hi all. I have a 38 gal planted tank that has a terrible hair algae problem at the moment. Tonight, I plan on tearing the tank down, brushing off what I can from the driftwood, heater, powerhead, filters, etc and cutting the leaves on the plants that are overrun.
I have a 250ml bottle of Flourish Excel, 250ml bottle of Flourish and a 250ml bottle of Flourish Iron. As per the instructions on the bottle I am to use about 4 capfuls (20ml) of the Excel, 1/2 capful of the Flourish (about 2.5ml) and about 3/4 a capful (about 3.5mls) of the Flourish Iron. Should any of these not be used together (ie, overkill?)
The plants in this tank are a couple of amazon swords, some crypts, a red lilly and another long-leaf type green plant (the name escapes me... but similar to a sword).
All advice/comments are welcome! Thanks!!!
J
