In the 4x2 flowerhorn tank I'm building - I am not sure if I will have enough flow/aeration.
My filter will either be an Eheim Pro 3, or a DIY canister filter running a 1000gph pump - definitely the Eheim if I can get one for a good enough price.

Would you run that tank as is, add a pair of powerheads, or add a large airstone? I'm running sand substrate, if that helps sway to any one side or another.

Thanks,
Drew

Bump. Lost the auction on the Eheim, so I'll just build a canister for the tank. Going to run about 1,000 gph of flow max.
Still wondering on the flow.

With canisters mostly you will need airstones, for sufficient surface agitation. Ideally this should do, additionally you can probably add a wave maker and run it for few hours per day for proper water circulation in tank.
