I have 2 aqueon 55/75 HoB filters on my 125g I am considering adding a third as my two baby bichirs will be moving into that tank soon as well. But think 3 will just be way to much flow in a tank of 5 polys. So I was thinking of makeing a diffuser.
The plan is to take a piece of 3" pvc and cut notches in the bottom of it so they slide over the glass on either side of the tank (is a very old 125g so no center brace) then drilling a bajillion holes in the pipe. Cutting off the top of the pipe along the interior of the tank and positioning the outflow of the filters so they go into it.
Would this be too much weight on my side glass?
Am I nuts and should just leave the flow alone?
