Flow in my 120 gallon?

It might be a bit much for that tank. I currently have 9,085/lph on my 180gal. But I am contemplating adding an additional 3,785/lph to the system to give me 12,870/lph. But that is on a 180gal.

I had 3,785/lph on a 120gal and that was just right.

Depending on your stock you may want to reduce that. Granted that is on fresh, but it flows the same. I wouldn't have had more then 3,785 lph on my 120 gal if it was salt either.

Yeah unfortunately 24,000 would be way too much, 12,000 is much more reasonable. Just a tip; keep everything in moderation, overdoing stuff (especially when it comes to flow, HO lighting, etc,) isn't the best for your tank/livestock.
