Flow loss/FX5/multiple elbows

Here's the situation. I'm trying to help a friend plumb an undrilled acrylic tank with an FX5. He DOES NOT want to drill the tank anywhere, so that's not an option. We ahve to buildthis out of PVC. He also doesn't want his intake and output hanging 4" into the middle of his tank which it would if I just plumbed an "up-over-down"
Now the question. Would I lose a lot of flow going with an monstrosity like this?

His tank is acrylic, it, has a huge lip at the topm not like the glass tank in that thread. Sorry for the poor artistic skill but this shows the tank outline in dark blue.

Ah, I missed that part. Well he can do that, he probably will not have a loss in flow to notice.
