What kind of flow rate does everyone use in their ray tanks? I have a 300 gallon 6x3 tank that I am using 2 water blaster 1300 for returns and a koralia magnum 7 powerhead 2700 gph, so basically with head loss about 4700 gph in a 300 gallon tank. Is this to much for my rays? What does everyone else use?

2400 mag on a 260 cube tank 4x4 i say the more the better doesnt seem to bother them if anything its better circulation

I run a Mag 12 return pump on my tank (6' x 3'). At a couple of feet head, it's probably pushing 1000 gph. There are 4 return nozzles in the tank.

3400 gph on filtration and 2400gph on two Koralia water circulators on my 340. I am one of those that believe in more water contact time with the Bio media vs as much as possible Turnover.

I turn over about 15,000 gal per hour

I have never seen the point in power heads just to move water if you have a pump it's best to have it filtering not just turning over water

I turn over about 20,000 gal per hour but cut off 5000 gal as they go throw uv and other pipe work

My sump is packed full of pumps I don't even need heaters as the pumps can heat the tank to 90 on there own so I control the temp with the 24/7 drip which pumps in 200 gal per day of cold water more in the Summer to cool the water

You should.be turning over the tank 10 x per hour not counting power heads I mean 10 x over media
