I really need to change the diet to my FH'S so far I have been feeding them with pellet food "Haifeng" and "Hokky" flower horn floating type.
But as you can see from my previous post The fish got a nasty hole in the head.

Please let me know what to do, I have in the same place of the large tank a pond with koi , make any sense to throw there some gold fish to be used as live feed? they will reproduce?

Ciao

Do a frequent water change to treat and avoid hole in the head. I do weekly water change for my FH.

Preferably, house your FH in seperate tank because koi produce a lot of waste that can affect the health of your FH. Try not to feed feeder gold fish to your FH, because they may carry disease. I feed mine freeze bloodworm.

Keep your nitrates as far under 20 ppm as possible. That's where your HITH came from. I think those specialty FH foods are a waste of money and all hype. Feed as varied a diet as possible including greens/veggies, pellets, earthworms, shrimp, etc.

Getting crazy with the nitrates!! changed water 50% (300Lt) changed diet feeding only one time a day put resin in filter and until now they are way too hig!! Please help!
