Hi,

I got my flower horn about 2 weeks ago, his upper stomach seem's to be pretty large. He's only eaten once (5-6 small Pellets) since I got him, is his stomach bloated? and if so what can I do?

Thanks,
Alex

Nope looks fine to me...does he have white stringy poop?

fat first then lenght i freaked out on my first hybrid too

He was saying, his FH does not eat...and has eaten ONCE... (which is not normal at all). Flowerhorns like most cichlids are always hungry...if they are not..something is wrong.

It might be worms... (white poo)... is he less active also? Does he barely move around? If so, he might have internal parasites. Please refer to the following link, it helped me a lot when my flowerhorn had internal parasites. Goodluck.

Yeah, for some reason he's not eating pellets, I put some shrimp in to, and he just doesn't seem interested. I'm a little worried.

Try a med that contains Praziquantel. It should do the trick. I had the same thing on my FH. No appetite, stringy white poop, lethargic.

Oh ok thanks, he seems pretty active, he chases the rest of the fish, swims around a lot. Its just when I put the pellets in, he goes up the top and then swims away.
