Hi fish lovers,

Had my flower horn about 6 months now and about 3 days ago, it stopped eating and is not even interested in food. I also noticed some kind of white stuff floating around. See picture. Seems like he is sick even though his attitude is still the same. Swims well and no sign of physical change apart from the above. Very active and constantly redecorating his tank by moving stuff around.

Could still be early stages. Would anyone have any ideas as to what it is and how it can be treated.

Thanks for looking into it.

I'm not an expert but it looks like hexamita. which can be treated with metrodinazole,

How long has his poop been that color? Does he take food but spit it out as if it is irritating him?

Thanks darkie and Mario.

That has been like this for about a week now. Yes he takes the food and spits it out but now he doesn't even bother.

Going to the local FS now to get the metrodinazole . He wasn't in a great shape last night but has bounced back now.

Thx guys

That might work it might not dose the water with it and add espom salt. I would recommend injecting the medicine into the stomach. After they have stopped eating it is harder to cure

May I also add api general cure is great for this you can buy it cheap online as well petsmart will run u about 16 bucks
