Hi there lads!!!.

Well, I recently saw on sale a 4" Tanking Fh and I felt in love with him but honestly speaking I have no more room for a decent size tank, I already have a RD FH in a 90 gal tank and he's doing fine there and I was wondering if I could keep that TanKing in a 29 gal tank????.

I dont want to do something stupid and I wouldn't like to keep any more FH if I cannot give it a decent healthy shelter despite I want that FH so badly I'd rather not to buy it.

So what do you guys think? is it adviseable to keep that fish in a 29 gal, solo of course? or do you think I shouldn't do that pick up until I can provide him a bigger setup. What size is the minimun size you suggest?.

Cheers.

A 4" fish will be fine in a 29 gallon but I would be worried about slowing its growth in a tank that size. You wouldn't want to keep it on there for long.

I had a 4 inch FH in a 29 from the spring until just recently. He got out around 8 inches. Once they get around 6 inches you can see they would be much happier in a bigger tank.

If you have no other choice, it should be fine, but realize, they will be tooons happier in a bigger tank with I have recently found out.

do plenty of water changes and it will be fine for a little while i'd say get it a bigger tank by the time it reaches 6''

I think Im able to get a 35 gal tank so FH would be even a lil bit better.... but now I have another issue to deal with: The wife is starting to complain about me wanting another setup at home.... Damn!!!! It is my own home and I have to get her "acceptance"!!!!... Guys dont get married....have a lot of GF's but dont get married....:banher:
