So yesterday my flowerhorn (7-8 inches) was literally swimming cartwheels in the tank. He was swimming upside down and every which way and it was freaking me out. I googled the symptoms and it seems to be swim bladder problem??? Anyways i fed him 2-3 thawed peas and he seems to be swimming upright but he still isnt normal. He stayed in one corner of the tank swimming upright in circles for hours yesterday. Today hes still swimming kind of on his side and stays at the bottom of the tank. Anybody have experience with this type of problem? Solutions?

Im sorry i dont know the ammonia or nitrite at the moment but i do know the ph is a little high, about 8.

Thanks everybody for the help.

oh and before he was acting weird i did a water change and his head i think hit the filter since there was a gash on it. (KOK) The gash is gone now and its healed 99%.

If he hit his head very hard you could notice, so it can not be the reason. Seems swim bladder to me too. ph is not the reference parameter. If you can not control water parameters make %30-40 water changes daily, raise the temp. to 28-29C, add aprox. 1 table spoon to 40lt. epson salt (as laxative) and cut feeding no matter you give him until acting gang buster for food.
He should be okay.
