flowerhorn ad parrot breeding

so far for the last 1 1/2 months my fish will dig a big hole every few days and then chase eachother around they dont fight regularly so i dont associate this with fighting but today the flowerhorn was bitting the parrots stomach and tearing scales off is this a common thing for them to do during breeding the parrot is almost twice the size of the flowerhorn and doesnt put up a fight

If the female Parrot is larger than the male Flowerhorn she will not let him breed with her. You will have to wait till he is larger than her.

alright thank you very much i will have to wait longer hopefully not too long, im very excited i had rescued my Flowerhorn from a pet-smart were a bunch of other zz were beating him up hes a short body zz and the parrot resembles one from the origin of BP thread you had posted were it shows the red head and Midas i believe

yes this happens alot. but they still can breed its just unlikly.
