Hey all. I am new to the whole FH thing but was thinking about getting one for my 90g tank. I really like big fish, with big humps and lots of personality. I have a friend with a RD and I love it.

FH seem to be a decent choice if I can find one for the right price. Do you guys think that this is a good deal and looks like a quality FH? If not, point me in right direction as to where to find a nice small flowerhorn for reasonable price.

I would love one with great color as well. You think this one has potential?

I think it looks great, the color thing really is harder to tell when they're that small. I've had fry that looked so promising but yet when they've gotten bigger their colors haven't been all that impressive. But yet I'd had fry that the colors were not so hot but when they got to 8-10inches+ they looked amazing. It's all in how you care for them too. If you feed high quality pellets you should notice colors building over time. That's not a bad price however if you're looking for a variety maybe try http://www.somethingsphishy.com/ they have a decent selection at reasonable prices. Hope that helps somewhat!

That one has lots of head potential but the color might not be so great. Go with aquabid. I suggest you check out all the auctions from chonburriman, mick kamfa, mr.fh, leo_beer, rainnybetta, and lakefishex. They've usually got the best fish for the best prices. Somethingfishy might be cheap but the quality of fish is just not there. You'll want to trans ship through Julie with www.flowerhornsfrombeyond.com She just did a order for thai silk and red texas from Rainnybetta so you could add some of those on to your order for $15. I've found if you want to save a little bit on your shipping buy about 5 of those and sell them to the locals for $10 more or so and your shipping will pay for itself.

Thank you very much for finding that Camphilophus. Really appreciate that!
