Hi!
I've noticed white poop in the aquarium that my Flowerhorn uses. I searched and read about hexamite and internal parasites. In a lot of the threats that I've read says that the owner's flowerhorn stopped eating and acted sick. However mine eates like normal and there's no change in his appearence or behavior. When he eates, he also poops normal brown poop, and the white ones is only occasional, like ca 2 times a month. This has been going on almost since I got him last year in early fall.
So I'm confused. Is my Flowerhorn sick or should I not be worried?

Thanks in advance! :)

Does your flake food have red and white pieces?

I give him pellets. But yes, they have both very small red and white pieces in them. Also green now to mention.

I believe a fish’s poop can reflect on the color of food it eats. Not 100% sure on that but I believe I have heard it before.

Mine does the exact same thing. When I fast him he poops almost clear white. In feeding days it's normal pellet colored poop. Very odd.

Edit.. no green or brown in my FH clear poop. And happens only when I don't feed him every 3rd day.

Then I guess there's nothing to worry about, hopefully.
