Ok so I've been a aqua hobbiest for most of my life. Bred many fish species. Never been into Flowerhorn. Saw some Shortbody texas that were amazing so bought a male and a female. Been trying to breed them. I'm a noob in the flowerhorn world. When do you know they are ready? kept them seperated by a crate for weeks and finally took out the seperator yesterday for 5minutes. because the male kept attacking the female she must've lost like 30 scales towards the base of her tail and towards the side of her vent area she was running scared so I put the seperator back. Is this supposed to happen? Is he not into blondes?...lol.
