I picked up a nice male ZZ Red Dragon last week, then I went out the next day and found a nice female almost the same size. Only problem is, he whooped her when I introduced them both. Right now they are divided and her breeding tube is hanging out big time and shes getting fat. They can see each other the whole time. How would you all introduce them back together? I'm going to try it again tonight and see what happens, I want them to have some fry so I can see them. I'll post photos on them both tonight.
 
Is it an egg crate divider? If so, put a flat rock next to the divider on the females side and leave the divider in. They can spawn through the divider. The alternate method is to wait until they are very close to spawning (within 24 hours or so) and then remove the divider. This way can be tricky though.

Though i am not appealed too Fh's being bred this is a very good advice.
If it is an Egg crate you should put a rock up against the divider, she will lay eggs on one side and he fertilizes them through the divider.

Why do you not like them being bred?

I do have a rock next to the divider holding it in place and she has dug out a hole so I guess I will see what happens. I say she will lay this weekend, early next week.
 
Well I got them together, after a few good licks from the male, they seem to be ok for now. I got slate in there and they are cleaning it, both are making mock runs on slate like they are laying/fertilizing, so soon I should have some fry:headbang2
 
Looks like a little love making went on last night, woke up at 4am to tank full of eggs and 7 dead ones and a few more later on. :nilly:

hey what u planning to do with those frys now? either u can raise them in your garage or sell them. well i would keep them and feed them to grow koks until 3 inches. Sell the one witout the kok and keep the good ones.
