I have my pair of flowerhorn separated for the past three days, but I woke up this morning with my female laying her eggs. I assume the eggs haven't been fertilize, so I tossed in my male. I don't know if I disrupted the behavior of the pair, because it seems as if the male and female is very aggressive and the male seems to be eating the eggs, not cleaning them. Any thoughts and comments be greatly appreciated.

flower horn males are not fertile

You "tossed" the eggs into the male's side?????????????The pair first have to agree with other on becoming a breeding pair...........Then they clean a spot on the floor of the aqaurium and lay their eggs TOGETHER...........You can never assum that just because the female laid eggs in a tank, especially if they are seperated, that the pair is proven breeding pair..........They pair fertilze the eggs together, at once................If you drop eggs by any male, it does not stimulate him to fertilize the eggs..........

He tossed the male into the females tank. Just leave them together and they will breed if they are a suitable pair. If they are to violent try the egg crate divider method.
