Flowerhorn breeding

So my girl layed eggs last week. She and Papa stood gaurd until they hatched....she seemed to be eithering eating them or moving them to a safer place. I came home yestersay and ALL the eggs where gone and she was no longer gaurding the area. Papa was back to chasing her all over the tank.

Been in hobby for longtime, but this is my first breeding experience. I never tried to breed, Im about letting nature take its course.....it did this week finally!!!! Im nervous ..is this behavior normal 24 hours into hatching the are just black dots I cant see under the rocks? In a few days will i come home to some free swimming grandchildern in a few days?

Could still be there somewhere. Sometimes one of the parents decide to take complete charge and chase his/her mate away. Look carefully, they look tinny tiny.

Its 110 tank......would it be ok/good idea to turn off the filter (its a wet dry sump) and just run to air stone? How long can the water stay without filtration before it goes to hell?

With Flowerhorns I take the male out as soon as he fertilizes them and in some cases i remove the female too.
