Flowerhorn breeding

Okay guys, this is my first time trying to breed any kind of fish! Can't wait! Lol anyways, I have a male red dragon and a female kamfa mix I think. I want these 2 to mate and have babies lol currently I just put them in the same tank with a clear devider between them. Now what are the steps? What else is needed to make this happen? When do I introduce them? What is needed in he tank? Etc... currently feeding xo supper red syn to both of them. They are both pretty new to the tank also FYI. Red dragon about a week and kamfa today.

if the divider has holes big enough, the female will probably just lay near it, then the male will fertilize from the other side, a little current going from the male's side to her side would help....just a little. If the holes are too far and few between, try a piece of egg crate cut to fit and use that instead. They technically are already set-up the way they need to be to breed. If she lays once or twice and they don't get fertilized, increase current or try the egg crate for sure. if it still doesn't work, well.....you might just have to introduce him to her side.

No guarantee FH will produce viable eggs/offspring though, just FYI.

Cool thank you for the info! The holes aren't big enough in my opinion. I'll have to introduce them together. I should wait for how long before I introduce them?
