I just have to tell someone! I'm quite excited. I took my Carpintis that was trying to breed with my Black Convict and stuck it in with my male Flowerhorn (wich I have been planning on doing ever since I bought the fish) to see if I could get some results. I've kept a divider in with them to give the congical visits once a day. FH Crazy aggressive and didn't want him to kill the Carp.

I GOT RESULTS!

Carpintis dug nest. It's breeding dress also came back, and right now they are both lip locking and spinning in circles slapping each other. I want to take a picture SO bad, but my bro has the camera.

So here are some pics I put up from earlier threads before they were together.

Heres one from when they were together in the 240 for a short while

I sold the flowerhorn.:D

I had him up on here from $150 to $70 for the last offer. I took him into my LFS and he sold the next day for $130.

After I sold him, The Carp went strait for my black convict again( I know..I know..BC's aren't that exciting) and paired up. They have made a nest in a pot, but I don't think I'm going to let it get much further than that.

The carpintis (Now that I know is ready to boom boom) is going to possibly be bread with my new male Super Red Texas.

Or I might possibly get a female SRT to put with my male SRT for a seperate project and get A+++ Flowerhorn for the carpintis. I decided that the carpintis was nice, but the flowerhorn I had with her just wasn't up to par. I want to make sure I get the right two fish together before I go through a long breeding project with generation after generation.

So that's whatsup with that. I'm moving this month. I won't have time for a project. When I get settled in my new place, I'll try for fry.

Thanks for the interest!

Probably. We'll see though. As long as I do it right. I would want to make sure and keep the red color along with the larger pearls. I'll have to do some very selective breeding of the future generations. It's still in the air though. I'm trying not to think about it though. I can't do anything until I move.

I've had this stupid 300 gallon sitting on the floor empty forever just waiting to move. Some of you know what I mean. Having an empty tank, but not being able to do anything about it. Having to look at it every day....
