Flowerhorn colored up

I posted this low grade Flowerhorn a while back. I gave it to somebody last week and now it looks much better. My parameters are good, temp about 84f, ph about 7.5. Does anyone know what could have made it color up so good after I gave it away? First pic is when I had it

I understand that, but it’s been 6 days since I gave her away.

Fish might have felt the change as ideal breeding condition or food.

True, I had her in a 75 alone and he has her in a 180 with a couple oscars and catfish. Maybe it’s the other fish.

I didn’t think of that, maybe that’s why the eyes look orange in the first pic
