My father has a 100 gallon tank with a mix of fontesas and parrots and a new 3 inch flower horn we were wondering if putting in another flower horn would be ok
weve read alot of diferent opinions and we wanted to hear more?
anyone?:screwy:

IMO....one is one to many for 1 tank with tank mates....i have mine in a 90 by him self.
but all depends on how big your front's, parrot's are.

FH are bullies when they grow put and pick on other fish. thats what mine did. might be diffrent with your? IDK

that flowerhorn will make fast work on those fronts. fronts grow very slowly and the flowerhorn will outgrow them very quickly. the flowerhorn should be fine with the parrots, IMO. based on the info provided about the tank and inhabitants. i see you ending up with 1 flowerhorn, and 1 parrot pair.

I agree with the pulling the FH out of that tank and getting it a 75 or bigger for just it if it is a male. If it is a female, it may let the parrots live with it but either way your gonna need another tank. Hope its a knockout, male or female. I keep all of mine separated since you cant trust them from one day to the next. Most people cant get away with more than 1 in a tank without a divider unless they are spawning, and then you need to separate them soon after. Mine will spawn under a divider but wont with the divider down. If the divider is down the male tries to kill all other fish.

In my 125 gal. I have an 9'' FH in with a 6'' midas, 4'' JD, 2'' Texas, 4'' frontosa, and another 2.5'' FH and the big FH have not killed any of them yet. All it does is chase the midas around the tank, but the midas is faster so the FH has never got a hold of him yet. I think it all depends on your fish. Mine seem to all get along well for now anyway.
