My flowerhorns just laid eggs on a rock in the tank. I was wondering could I take the rock with the eggs on it out of the tank an put it in my other tank without killing them.

yes you can but you should use the same water where eggs are to fill the holding tank. You should also get something you can put in the tank and put rock into (keeping underwater) when you remove to put into holding tank. Example -small bucket or something-good luck I have done this before and it does work so long as using same water temp etc. Also once done you will need to simulate the parents fanning action on the eggs (this is done by fish to create a continuous water current over the eggs) to keep them from molding and turning bad aka (white). To do this you can use a air stone next to the eggs if you prop them up at a vertical angle and have the bubbles from stone
moving close to the eggs. Or a hang-over the top filter return dropping water close to them works sometimes as well.
