I believe is a female turns out is now fading has anyone else had a flowerhorn fade like this and how do they usually turn out looking like??

I have never had a flowerhorn fade but from my knowledge usually turns completely into the color you see in the photo. The flowers either are gone or very faded. Sometimes the fish may not completely fade I assume depending on the quality.

I see you figured out how to start your own thread, but not sure why you posted it in this folder? Either way, if you go back & re-read my sticky on faders in the FH section you will have your answer. No one can tell anyone exactly how a fader will turn out. Your fish could turn out mostly white, or pinkish, or keep the black in the areas that you currently see. It's all in the genetics, and in that regards each fader fish is an individual. Good luck.

I see you in almost every thread I search and You are my main source of info for flowerhorn and I admire how knowledgeable you are about them. You have taught me things in your posts that I would have never learned in any other forums that preach the opposite of what you should do and only promote fast growth and cofor and not health and long life. I learn new things from you everyday and you saved my flowerhorn a bunch more years of life. Thank you

No problem, glad to help, and thanks for the kind words.

Feed it some BUG BITES colour enhancement and watch the magic happen, if it’s going to show colour a week on this stuff will bring its colour right out, and it’s a great everyday food. They sell it on ebay and most shops now,
